Change in Leadership at DIREVO Industrial Biotechnology GmbH
DIREVO Industrial Biotechnology GmbH (Direvo) announced today that effective May 1st Dr. Jorg Riesmeier was promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Riesmeier who joined on January 15, 2010 as Chief Operating Officer is succeeding Dr. Thomas von Rüden who advocated the change in leadership. Dr. von Rüden will continue to serve the company as an advisor.Dr. Karl-Gerhard Seifert, chairman of the company’s advisory board commented: “After having set up the technology platform and the recent closing of the series A financing Dr. von Rüden felt that this is the right point to hand over leadership of the company to Dr. Riesmeier. Dr. Riesmeier will lead the company to the next level of becoming a product development company. Dr. von Rüden will continue to support Direvo as an advisor. The Shareholders and the Advisory Board thank Dr. von Rüden for his effort and commitment which again secured major progress and success for Direvo“.
